A sunny weekend in Spa, for the final of the 2011 Stirling Moss Trophy and once again Bobby Verdon Roe and the flying Ferrari 246S put on great show for the crowds and battled his way through the field to take victoy.
Another great weekend for us with Hubert Fabri in his Aston Martin DBR4 finishing 2nd in the first HGPCA race just behind Tony Smith in his Ferrari 246GP, whose engine we prepared at the start of the season.
The weather turned for the second race resulting in a greasy and wet track. With all the cars scrabbling for grip, a cautious drive ended in 5th place for the DBR4.
With a cold and wet track for the evening race, Hubert in his Aston Martin DB3S finished the race in his qualifying position of 17th.
After a tense and Competitive qualifying session on the Friday, Bobby Verdon Roe in the Ferrari 412P took the second step on the podium in the Italian Historic Championship in the 1 hour race on Saturday.
An impressive result given the competition included three Ferrari 512’s.
Harry Leventis and Gregor Fiskin brought the 206P home in a respectable 9th position.
