Sussex Trophy Success for Ferrari 246

Sporting & Historic Cars Win Sussex Trophy
Sporting & Historic Car Engineers had another successful Goodwood Revival winning the Sussex Trophy.
In the last race of the meeting in very wet conditions, the superbly balanced Ferrari 246 was able to power past the competition in the extremely capable hands of Sam Hancock.
Starting from 4th on the grid, Sam steered the famous Ferrari to 2nd by the end of the first lap, ultimately taking the lead with a brilliant and brave move around the outside of Oliver Bryant's Lotus.
With a clear track and less spray from other cars, the Ferrari pulled clear and crossed the line for a very popular win.
Beaming with happiness, Sam Hancock said of the victory " what a superb team effort, I'm thrilled".

3 Generations of Alfa Romeo T33 at Donington

Sporting & Historic Car Engineers took 3 generations of Alfa Romeo T33 prototypes to Donington for a very successful shakedown / test. Sam Hancock describing how fantastic the TT12 was straight out of the box.
The 3 car line up caused a huge amount of interest with the other competitors and we must have won the award for the best sounding cars!!
We are looking forward to taking them to Italy in October to reunite them with the Balocco testing facility used in period.

Double Success at Silverstone Classic

Sporting & Historic Car Engineers are celebrating a double success at the Silverstone Classic. In the Classic Celebrity Race, Take That singer Howard Donald drove the Austin A30 superbly in changeable conditions to win the Top Rookie Trophy.
In Race 2, ex BTCC driver Mike Jordan thrilled the crowds, powering the A30 through the field to another exciting win for the team.  
Managing Director Tim Samways said " to come away from such a prestigious event with 2 successes is a great achievement for the team".
