Sporting & Historic Cars Win Sussex Trophy
Sporting & Historic Car Engineers had another successful Goodwood Revival winning the Sussex Trophy.
In the last race of the meeting in very wet conditions, the superbly balanced Ferrari 246 was able to power past the competition in the extremely capable hands of Sam Hancock.
Starting from 4th on the grid, Sam steered the famous Ferrari to 2nd by the end of the first lap, ultimately taking the lead with a brilliant and brave move around the outside of Oliver Bryant's Lotus.
With a clear track and less spray from other cars, the Ferrari pulled clear and crossed the line for a very popular win.
Beaming with happiness, Sam Hancock said of the victory " what a superb team effort, I'm thrilled".
